Face-to-Face and Virtual Team Gatherings

The COVID-19 pandemic paved the way for the wider adoption of remote and hybrid work. While this has allowed companies to reach a wider pool of talents and helped ensure that our employees are able to work from home safely and conveniently, it also meant that our teams don’t always meet and work together face-to-face. But here at MCVO Talent Outsourcing Services, Leaders are given the opportunity to gather their teams around for quarterly gatherings — whether face-to-face or virtual!

In our MCVOLT-IN March edition, we shared the video from our Video Editing Department’s first team out-of-town escapade for the year. And staying true to what we said then, that “the team’s looking forward to more,” well, they did not disappoint!

Get a glimpse of the team’s latest outing in Zambales, and what each of them has to say about the experience!

I noticed that after the video editing team outing, the editors became more comfortable with each other. Even after the first outing in Tanay, all the editors became closer, and the bond grew stronger. Even though most of us are working on-site, the vibe during meetings doesn’t feel awkward, it feels like we’re all connected.

It’s also an honor that they are sharing their personal lives and struggles. It means they really trust one another enough to share these things. Being close to the team makes you feel reassured that your co-workers are cooperative and supportive.

I’m glad and thankful to have these teammates, and it’s a privilege to have them as part of the team.

— J-Anne Periodica, Video Editing Supervisor

“As much as I love our first department outing, this one tops them all. There are more things we do now as a group like riding ATV and dragon/banana boats and the collective effort that everybody gives to ensure everyone has a great time is greatly appreciated.

There have been some challenges like one of our members Jonathan not being able to come but apart from that I think we had a successful outing and everyone had fun.” —

“For me, this is the best video editing outing than the other one last in Rizal , water activities were done better.

It’s fun because out of thousands of teams/companies in the Philippines, I think our team has the most solid terms of companionship to each other and everyone is open to talk about personal or work related topics, even love life.

This vacation is relaxing, it helps everyone’s mental health to relax too.”

“It is a fun and relaxing weekend with the video editing team. For me, the outing made us bond closer, know one another deeper, really enjoy the weekend through fun activities and a big breath of fresh air after a heavy load of work.”

“Our team outing was super fun! Especially for me since it was my first time in Zambales. Everyone had a blast even though I lost my glasses, it was fun because I got to try the dragon boat, haha. It was cool because we all did different activities, sometimes together, sometimes on our own. Zion, Neri, and I went fishing, drank at night, and of course, did karaoke in the room, haha. It was such a great outing, and I hope we can do it again!”

JM – Video Editor

“The Liw-Liwa Experience

Our Second team outing/lunch out was full of fun and memorable experiences,

It was really fun when the team went for an ATV and banana boat ride, and during the night we had an open discussion and shared some of our experiences in life.

Having this kind of event and being out of town with the team solidifies our bond and strengthens the team’s morale

I am looking forward to another out of town with the team and share more memorable experiences with them

Thank you!”

“I always wondered how leaders could create strong relationships with their team. Luckily, I got a glimpse of how strong-knit the video editing team. The way they bond with each other, you can feel the ease, friendship, and trust they have for one another. Their trip helped greatly to those who are in need of relaxation and exploration with new things in life. It’s important to note that this kind of bond took a lot of effort from everyone and I hope that each department in MCVO can have what the video editing team has.”

“Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the Video Team getaway! (solid diba) It was a lot of fun, and I think everyone really appreciated the chance to become closer to each other and, of course, unwind and spend time together outside of work, even though we don’t get together very often.

Thank You! I hope we can go out again soon guys :)”

“Our outing in Liwliwa, Zambales was incredibly enjoyable once more. It reminded me of the significance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Stepping away from work for a while and indulging in a vacation was truly refreshing. Our long road trip, heartfelt conversations, and beach activities added to the fun. I came to appreciate the strong bond within our team. I eagerly anticipate more bonding experiences like this one! These breaks are vital for recharging and fortifying team connections. I’m committed to nurturing these personal ties and embracing future adventures together.”

Zambales always makes sense when you’re with the people close to your heart and a team that makes our working environment a much more delightful place to be with <3
