Once our clients’ talents have been onboarded, our strategy in acquiring new employees do not cease on the onset of offering the position and training them. We invest in their professional and personal development while finding their strengths to perform at an A+ Level.
Our interview and filtering process is the first step to identify the employee’s strengths based on our company Core Values and Culture assessments. Through this course, we classify who can blend well with our existing team. It is critical to ensure employee’s intangible (or soft) skills such as interpersonal and social. We strongly believe that these intangibles can’t be taught although some behaviors are adapted; modesty, client value, virtue and ownership are the natural behavior we seek in candidates.
Most companies focus on employees’ weaknesses and determine how these can be improved. At MCVO, we focus on employees’ core strengths and further develop them. It’s what you may have heard as “Strength-based Approach”.
The strength-based approach is a paradigm shift for many Leaders who may have been previously exposed to guiding employees through their weaknesses. It is an approach where we move away from an opportunity-based approach that can lead to an employee’s dissatisfaction; and, it can also be demoralizing. By focusing on the employee’s core strengths, Leaders can further understand the employee’s learning capabilities so that they can build on their professional goals together.
There is still the element of identifying employees’ opportunities to reinforce their weaknesses. It should be an important part of a Leaders’ assessment. However, improvement should not solely be centered on the deficit but capitalize on the employees’ talents and assets.
Throughout our offshore employees’ tenure at MCVO, we continue to foster a work environment where their strengths are supported and valued.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
